As the coronavirus outbreak continues to unfold in Brookline, bringing an anticipated wave of new cases, the men and women who make up the town’s Emergency Operations Center will likely be the first to know.
The EOC team is at the forefront of Brookline’s response to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, COVID-19, yet their work tends to keep them out of the spotlight.
While town officials handle the big picture questions of keeping Brookline up and running, the EOC is working behind the scenes to support essential town functions and keep residents healthy and safe. If all is working correctly, you might not even know it exists.
But since going operational last Monday at 8 a.m., the EOC has been bustling with activity.
