Brookline, MA – The Brookline Office of Emergency Management wants you to be ready, be safe, and be informed. Take action this September and prepare for any emergency! September is National Preparedness Month, and this is a great time to make sure you and your family are ready for any emergency. Signing up for Alert Brookline is one of the best ways to stay informed if you live or work in Brookline.
Alert Brookline provides emergency warnings about severe weather, disasters, and other critical situations by text, email, or phone call. For residents whose primary language is not English, Alert Brookline supports translations of messages into Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish!
Signing up for Alert Brookline is free and easy. Enroll online or text “alertbrookline” to 99411 to receive a sign-up link. The Office of Emergency Management will provide in-person translation support for residents with limited English proficiency at Alert Brookline enrollment events in September. Translators will be on hand to help residents sign up in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, or Spanish.

Throughout September, the Brookline Office of Emergency Management will be providing information on hurricane preparedness, vital documents, and being tech ready in an emergency, in addition to helping residents sign up for Alert Brookline. All information will be available in Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish to ensure everyone in our community has access to the resources they need.
