he Town of Brookline will sponsor the first of three major public workshop meetings on January 26, 2022, from 7 to 9 PM. The purpose of this first meeting is to report the results of the housing needs assessment that began in mid-October 2021 and to ask meeting participants about other housing needs that they believe Brookline’s new Housing Plan should address. The Town’s consultants will give an overview of what they have learned so far. They will also share stories from Brookline residents about housing problems they live with as they search for safe, decent housing they can afford. A facilitated discussion will follow. The consulting team will then review the work that lies ahead and briefly describe plans for upcoming public workshops and other efforts to engage Brookline community members in developing the Housing Plan that will guide the Town’s efforts to preserve and create additional affordable housing.
The meeting will be held virtually. Advance registration is required. Here is the registration link: https://tinyurl.com/BrooklineHPPForum1
